The fourth property class under Solon, Cleisthenes, and Pericles was the Thetes. Thetes were the lowest property class in Athenian society and were typically landless laborers or craftsmen. They had limited political rights and were not eligible to hold public office. **

Cleisthenes' reforms in ancient Athens brought several advantages. They introduced a more democratic system by increasing the power of the assembly and creating a fairer distribution of political power among citizens. The reforms also helped to reduce the influence of the aristocracy and fostered a sense of civic pride and participation among the people. However, these reforms also faced challenges, such as resistance from the aristocratic families who lost some of their privileges and the potential for instability as power shifted among different factions within the city-state. **

The constitution of Solon, known as the Solonian Constitution, was a set of laws and reforms that aimed to address the social and economic inequalities in Athens. It introduced the concept of economic class into the political system and established the Council of Four Hundred, which included members from all classes. Cleisthenes is known for his reforms that led to the establishment of democracy in Athens. His constitution, known as the Cleisthenic Constitution, reorganized the political system by creating new tribes and redistributing political power among the citizens. It also introduced the concept of ostracism, which allowed the citizens to banish a public figure deemed a threat to the state. Pericles, on the other hand, is known for his leadership during the Golden Age of Athens. He did not create a new constitution, but he strengthened the democratic system by increasing the power of the Assembly and the courts, and by introducing payment for public service, which allowed poorer citizens to participate in the government.
