Without further information or context, it is difficult to determine if the clematis has completely dried out. Factors such as the weather, soil moisture levels, and care practices can all affect the plant's hydration status. It is recommended to check the soil moisture levels by feeling the soil around the clematis roots. If the soil is dry to the touch, it may indicate that the clematis has dried out and needs watering. **

Clematis plants prefer consistently moist soil, so it's important to keep them well-watered, especially during the growing season. However, it's also important to ensure that the soil has good drainage to prevent waterlogged conditions, which can lead to root rot. To achieve the right balance, water the plant deeply and then allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering again. Mulching around the base of the plant can also help to retain moisture in the soil. **

To successfully transplant a Clematis Montana, start by choosing a new location with well-draining soil and partial shade. Dig a hole twice as wide and deep as the plant's root ball. Carefully dig up the plant, trying to keep the root ball intact. Place the plant in the new hole, backfill with soil, and water thoroughly. Mulch around the base of the plant to help retain moisture. Keep the plant well-watered during the first few weeks after transplanting to help it establish in its new location. **

Clematis can be stored in a container for a few days to a week if kept in a cool, dark place with good air circulation. It is important to check on the clematis regularly and remove any wilted or damaged flowers to prolong its freshness. After a week, the clematis may start to lose its vibrancy and freshness, so it is best to enjoy them as soon as possible. **

Yes, it is generally recommended to cut back the leaves of the clematis in winter when it loses them. This helps to promote new growth in the spring and keeps the plant healthy. Trimming back the leaves also helps to prevent disease and pests from overwintering on the plant. However, it is important to research the specific variety of clematis you have, as some may have different pruning requirements. **
